rainy day fun

Boy oh boy it was really rainy and windy today! I took the guinea pigs inside and let them roam free in the lounge room while I waited out the rain, so I could walk to the store (and spend unfortunate amounts of money at the chemist).

Apple is their 2nd favourite treat. Parsley is probably their 1st. It makes them jump around with excitement.
Look at those prancy feet! Eep!
Time for a nap under the couch. Pip (the little brown one) is sitting in a position that reminds me of a chicken. Poppy is sleeping like a cat!
Guinea pigs don't close their eyes while they rest, as it's a survival instinct. Poppy is cute because she almost completely closes her eyes when she rests, and likes laying on her side or burying deep into the crook of your arm if you hold her close.

Ok, time for me to go do some drawings for new ideas (yay!) and finish my ginormous hot chocolate. Have a nice evening!

Pleasant things:

I'm of two minds about detachable collars. They are pretty, yes, but I'd rather a complete collared top, plus I'm not too keen on the gaps you sometimes see when the neckline underneath is too low.

Couldn't resist buying this book last week.

One day I will save up and purchase one of these super colourful knits.

They're so cute!! Parsley is my bunnies favourite treat too, he goes CRAZY for it. He also sleeps like a cat with his eyes open sometimes and it's freaky... RSPCA said I can't get a guinea pig for his friend cause he might accidentally hurt it due to their tiny bones. Love seeing your little dudes :)

Amy: You are so lucky to own a rabbit! We weren't allowed them in QLD, but when we popped into a TAS pet shop for pet stuff, there was a cage of 6 little baby lops! I asked the lady if I could hold one and she was like, 'What, oh yeah of course you can!'. First time holding a rabbit - sooooo good!!!

I'm really coming round to the idea of having a guinea pig(s) as a pet. These guys seem so characterful!

Gosh - your guinea pigs are the cutest! They have little personalities all of their own.
Just don't leave them outside in the cold at night, Mum managed to finish a few we had that way haha.

@Jess - they are excellent pets! Be sure to adopt from a shelter though. I got my two from Gold Coast Guinea Pig Rescue and I cannot recommend them enough!

@hannah - our guinea pigs don't seem to mind the cold too much, but they sure don't like the heat! However I am a little worried now that you mentioned it! Sorry to hear about your pets endings. :-(
